What is the ViveGuide?

A message from the editor

Hey there,

my name is Jesse and if you’re reading this then this guide is meant to serve multiple purposes depending on who you are. Whether you're brand new to your amazing Vive headset or a seasoned vet of other realities, I hope this guide can help you take that step in the right direction in a new experience or help you discover a hidden gem. In this guide you'll see several things; a list of free content, a flowchart directing you to possibly new great experiences based on your own personal taste, and a long list of games/ experiences with their respective links and price points. Games that are favorites, recommended, have horror, and/or have online or local multiplayer are labeled accordingly. This guide is constantly being added to and revised so be sure to check in every now and then to see what's new!

It would also be an honor if you used this very same guide, tweaked it to your own personal library and preferences, and used it when demoing the Vive to your friends, family, or even businesses (yours included, you Vive arcade entrepreneurs) . You might come across the term “Vive Host” while reading and that is in reference to you as the operator of people’s VR experience. I demo VR to friends and family, businesses, arcades, bars, etc. and when I do I have this very guide on an iPad and when a person reads “Vive Host” it’s in reference to me, the one demoing the Vive to them.

If you’re on the fence about getting the Vive and are simply using the guide to browse, I hope you are able to see that wide variety of fantastic content available right away to you! You may have a lot of questions about VR and there is an amazing community of people at /r/Vive ready to help you! If you need to you may also get a hold of me directly at /u/Burning_Faith and I will be happy to help you in any way.

Best VR wishes,

Jesse
