The First 5 Games to Own

So you just got your Vive and you have a little extra jingle in your pocket, you've grabbed all the free titles you can, and now you're looking at some of that paid content, but what should you get? Check out these recommendations for the first 5 games that deserve your hard earned cash.

Smashbox Arena

Praised for it's simple, yet addictive, arcade style gameplay, Smashbox Arena has become a fan favorite among the Vive community. Shoot, duck behind cover, coordinate with your teammates, and use those power-ups to win the game! Play alone or with friends online.

Arizona Sunshine

Despite some backlash from the Vive community on release due to locked content from the developers for anyone not rocking a Intel i7 processor, Arizona Sunshine has "shined" in it's story driven gameplay, beautiful scenery and locations, selection of weapons, and, most importantly, satisfying zombie killing core game mechanics. If you have ever wondered if you can survive a zombie apocalypse then add Arizona Sunshine to your list.

Raw Data

One of the Vive's first AAA titles has become one of the highest selling and most played VR titles to date with intense action combat gameplay, intuitive controls, challenging enemies, and a core sci-fi atmosphere. With an overall "Very Positive" rating on steam and with more content coming down the road, Raw Data truly deserves your time.

Climbey

While visually this game cannot compare with some of the other titles on this list, Climbey's unique and innovated core game mechanics along with it's challenging maps has made this game one of the first 5 you should own. When you have finished the game's 15 maps there is still more to conquer in it's user created maps! Best of all you can try Climbey before you buy with its free demo!

Onward

Ever since it's launch in August of 2016, Onward has set the standard of what VR multiplayer shooters should look like. Developed by a studio that truly listens to its community, the game is frequently being tweaked and added to and has become an addictive experience of realistic weapons, sound, communication and combat.

As a reminder everything in this article is strictly opinionated by the author. VR is a truly one of a kind and amazing experience, what you experience is determined by your own ambitions and curiosity.
